MCCA x Muslim Mental Health Professionals: A proud partnership

“Reclaiming our Narrative”

Specifically, MCCA has sponsored events such as MHHP’s “Reclaiming our Narrative” event, which explored the rich Islamic tradition in Mental Health.

Muslim Mental Health Professionals: Building a resilient and caring Muslim community

Muslim Mental Health Professionals (MMHP) are a network of psychologists, counsellors and social workers who work in the area of Muslim mental health as well as tertiary-level students in the field of mental health.

MMHP is a not-for-profit organisation who seeks to support both Muslim and non-Muslim mental health professionals to enhance the work they do with Muslim individuals and those of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) populations.

These Muslim professionals work with Muslim and CALD communities in varying capacities, including Islamic schools and private practice in the area of mental health.

In doing so, MMHP provide mental health professionals who are servicing Muslim clients with a platform for regular networking, sharing of information, resources and professional development opportunities.

Joint by Values: MMHP & MCCA

Over the past few years, MCCA has been delighted to support MMHP’s work in the community.

We strongly believe in the work MMHP is doing to bring together, nurture and elevate Muslim mental health professionals. As a community that has its fair share of challenges with mental health awareness and education, such initiatives are long overdue in our community.

Specifically, MCCA has sponsored events such as MHHP’s “Reclaiming our Narrative” event, which explored the rich Islamic tradition in Mental Health.

May Allah bless and put barakah in the amazing work that the Muslim Mental Health Professionals team does for our community.

"We are delighted and humbled by MCCA's ongoing support of MMHP. MCCA was a pioneer in its space, we hope its support helps us be a pioneer in ours!"
