Dr Ahmed has been a Shariah advisor since September 2014, and has significant knowledge of and experience in matters related to Islamic finance and Shariah law generally. He is an active member of the Australia National Imams Council (ANIC) and was educated at the prestigious Jaamiat ul Uloom il Islamiyah in Pakistan.
